Jet charge: A new tool to probe the anomalous <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" altimg="si1.svg"><mml:mi>Z</mml:mi><mml:mi>b</mml:mi><mml:mover accent="true"><mml:mrow><mml:mi>b</mml:mi></mml:mrow><mml:mrow><mml:mo stretchy="false">¯</mml:mo></mml:mrow></mml:mover></mml:math> couplings at the EIC

We propose to probe the Zbb¯ interactions at Electron-Ion Collider (EIC) by utilizing average jet charge weighted single-spin asymmetry AebQ, which is induced different cross sections of a left-handed and right-handed electron beam scattering off an unpolarized proton in neutral current deeply-inelastic processes with one observed b-tagged jet. This novel observable EIC sensitive axial-vector component coupling, providing similar information as gg?Zh section measurement high-luminosity Large Hadron Collider, complementary vector coupling. show that apparent degeneracy allowed coupling its components, implied Electron-Positron (LEP) Stanford Linear (SLC) precision electroweak data, can be broken AebQ EIC. With large enough integrated luminosity collected EIC, could also resolve long-standing discrepancy between bottom quark forward-backward AFBb LEP Standard Model prediction, strong dependence on b-tagging efficiency.
